Content Editor & SEO Professional ยท Pakistan
I edit content and handle onsite SEO for publishers and brands who want their writing to actually reach people. I work remotely and I genuinely enjoy what I do.
About
I'm Lubna. I'm a content editor and SEO professional based in Pakistan, and I've spent the better part of the last six years helping writers say what they actually mean and helping websites show up for the people searching for them.
I came to this work through a genuine love of reading. Books have always been my thing, the kind you finish and sit with for a while. That habit of paying close attention to how a piece of writing is put together turned out to be pretty useful professionally.
The best SEO is just good writing. Content that earns its ranking by being genuinely useful is the only kind worth making.Lubna Ali Khan
Outside of work I'm usually in the garden, which is my favourite way to slow down. I go for long walks, train regularly, and spend quiet evenings with poetry and philosophy. My pets are a constant source of company and chaos. If something has soil on it or fur on it, I'm probably involved.
Life Outside Work
My garden is where I do my best thinking. There is something about tending to plants that resets everything. I grow whatever will survive me.
Always in the middle of at least two books. Reading is honestly what made me a better editor. You learn what good writing feels like by spending time with a lot of it.
My pets are a big part of my day. They are terrible at respecting deadlines but very good at everything else.
Long walks are where I work through problems. Some of my best editing decisions have happened somewhere between the first and fourth kilometre.
I train regularly. It keeps me focused and honestly makes me a more patient person, which is useful in every part of life, editing included.
Taekwondo taught me discipline before anything else did. The practice of showing up, drilling the basics and respecting the process has shaped how I approach my work too.
Writing poetry is how I process the things that don't fit neatly into an article. It keeps my relationship with language honest, precise where it needs to be, open where it doesn't.
I read philosophy the way other people read thrillers. The questions interest me more than the answers. It has made me a better thinker and, I think, a more careful editor.
Cooking is where I experiment without consequences. I approach a recipe the way I approach a brief: understand it first, then decide what it actually needs. The kitchen is where I unwind.
What I Do
I work through the structure, the flow and the individual sentences. The goal is always to make the piece clearer and more readable without making it sound like someone else wrote it.
Titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal links and keyword placement. The unglamorous stuff that actually determines whether anyone finds your content in the first place.
Figuring out what to write, when to write it and why. I help teams build editorial systems that make sense for their audience and hold up over time.
Finding out what your readers are actually searching for and making sure your content answers those questions well. Volume matters less to me than intent.
Going through existing content to work out what is pulling its weight, what needs updating and what should probably be retired. Honest assessments only.
Guides, features, explainers and evergreen pieces. Writing that takes a real position and gives readers something worth their time.
